J. Leopold Francl
I strive to capture the moments, between the moments. Creating a space where multiple moments in time can exist harmoniously in the present.
I found my spark in photography in the 90's, when I decided to experiment with putting colored filters, meant for black and white photography, on my 35mm Nikkormat shooting Kodak color. After getting the film developed, I found myself fascinated with the mysterious oversaturated images I had created.
It was at that moment, I learned that I was able to change the world around me through light, shadow, texture and color. Creating the surreal, bizarre and abstract.
